Prescott has played under the franchise tag multiple times and had to wait until the 2024 season to sign a new deal, and the 31-year-old quarterback understands it’s a process and advised the 25-year-old linebacker to stay positive as he makes the move.
“I don’t have all the answers to that, or I think I would have answered them before,” Prescott said. “For him, just staying positive, understanding and making sure his team knows what he wants and what he believes in.”
Parsons voluntarily reported for offseason workouts Monday as he awaits his big payday after skipping the offseason the past two years, but the 25-year-old linebacker decided to join this year under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
The off-season consists of strength training and physical sessions, so Parsons isn’t taking too much risk while contract talks continue until a deal is reached.
“He’s very confident in (Micah Parsons) and what he can do,” Prescott added. “Who he is and what he wants to do is just as important as anything else, and that’s leadership.” ( kindee1688 )
