Running back Miles Sanders, 24, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract, insists he still has a lot to prove in order to earn recognition and a chance to stay with the Philadelphia Eagles beyond the 2022 season, NFL Network reported on Sunday.  ( Kindee1688 )

Sanders, a Penn State alumnus, entered the league as a second-round draft pick in the 2019 class. Over the first three years of his career, he has rushed 480 times for 2,439 yards and nine touchdowns. He has also caught 104 passes for 864 yards and three scores, but the 24-year-old running back has yet to fully embrace the role, and he’s looking to prove himself in the 2022 season in order to potentially sign a new deal with the Eagles. 

“I have a lot to prove,” Sanders said. “A lot of people don’t respect all the work that I’ve done, and I still have a lot to prove. I’m really talking about personal things this year, just finding ways to get noticed and getting respect. I’m not going to ask for anything this year, just be healthy, be ready. That’s the main goal of this team this year.”
