vox888 The Sacramento Kings have acquired six-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan via a sign-to-trade deal as part of a three-way trade with the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs. vox888

The Sacramento B’s report says DeRozan signed a three-year, $74 million contract. 

The Kings sent forward Harrison Barnes, an unprotected first-round draft pick in the 2031 class to the Spurs, while the Bulls received Chris Duarte, two second-round draft picks and cash. 

DeNozan arrived in Sacramento over the weekend to meet with team executives and head coach Mike Brown.  ( vox888  )

Then we went to watch a California Classic Summer League game hosted by the Kings, where we sat courtside with franchise owner Vivek Ranadive.

The 34-year-old averaged 24 points, 5.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 79 games for the Bulls last season, leading the league in appearances (2,989 minutes) and was voted second-highest scoring player in the league.

In his three years in the Windy City, he was an All-Star twice, an All-NBA Second Team in 2022, and before that he played for the Spurs and Toronto Raptors. 

Coming to play at Golden 1 Center will join forces with De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis as a trio of stars. 

For Barnes, he spent five and a half years with the Kings, averaging 14.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists, and the 32-year-old will join veteran guard Chris Paul and 2024 Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama.  

He was also a member of the Golden State Warriors’ 2015 NBA championship team.  

The Bulls, meanwhile , are eyeing Duarte for long-term value as he enters the final year of his contract. The  27-  year-old averaged  3.9  points in  59 games last season.
