ESPN reported that the 24-year-old player averaged 7.6 points and 7.2 rebounds in 49 games last season.  ( superwin636  )

Previously, he was a first-round draft pick and played for the Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat. 

Achiuwa and OG Anunoby are the players New York traded from the Raptors for young guard Immanuel Quickley and lottery-draft wing RJ Barrett. 

It’s been a busy offseason for the Knicks, who have not only signed a new contract for their head coach, but have also signed star guard Jalen Brunson to a four-year, $156.5 million contract and retained forward Anunoby for five years, $212.5 million. 

They also made a three-way trade to bring forward Michael Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets, trade guard Bojan Bogdanovic, guard Sheik Milton and a bunch of first-round draft picks to the Houston Rockets. 

In addition, head coach Tom Thibodeau has extended his contract for another 3 years until the end of the 2027-28 season.

An interesting departure is center Isaiah Hartenstein , who is out of contract and has signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder .
