Kodma168 Bradbury ready for new start with Patriots

Kodma168 Garrett Bradbury is committed to a new start with the New England Patriots after a six-year career with the Minnesota Vikings.

Garrett Bradbury, 29, said he is ready for a fresh start with the New England Patriots after signing a two-year, $12 million contract with the Patriots this offseason, according to the Boston Globe. Kodma168

Bradbury, a former first-round draft pick in the 2019 class, played his first six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, starting 88 games throughout his career, before being released by the team on March 17. He signed with the Patriots a day later. 

‘Had six great years with Minnesota, it was a great locker room (and) built a really good relationship there, and it just kind of came to an end, right? That’s business,’ Bradbury said. ‘You never want to feel comfortable, but that was a wake-up call, it was, ‘Okay, let’s go.’ That’s how they felt and moved on.’

‘There’s no bitterness. I don’t have any bitterness towards the Vikings. It was just another opportunity for me. I think when there’s change, if you don’t take it, you can’t grow from it. So it was, ‘Okay, I’m going to reinvent myself, I’m going to prove myself again,’ and the minute you think you’ve got it, you’re gone. ‘

In six years in Minnesota, Bradbury has been more of a run blocker than a pass defender. Part of the disappointment in his middle game was allowing 38 quarterback pressures in 2024. He had never allowed more than 30 pressures in a season before.

‘New team, new chapter, new offense. What can I bring and you have to bring it every day,’ Bradbury added. ‘That’s the biggest thing I’ve learned. The meeting room, the training room, the weight room. So it’s not even a wake-up call, it’s new. It’s exciting. It’s a new start, a new opportunity.’ ( Kodma168 )
