Kodma168 Browns coach praises Graham’s improvement every day

Kodma168 Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Mason Graham continues to improve, according to the coaching staff.
Cleveland Browns defensive line coach Jacques Cesaire has praised first-round rookie defensive tackle Mason Graham for impressing his coaching staff despite a slow start to minicamp last week, NFL Network reports. Kodma168
‘I love Mason,’ Césaire said. ‘What I love about Mason is I think everyone hears that he ate too much and threw up the first day, but what people don’t talk about is that this kid can do it. He goes back there, throws up and everything, and does it all over again.’
‘But this kid is improving every day. Every day he comes out here, he’s running to the ball as fast as he can. You see his rush game has improved. You see him getting forward with his hands. It’s definitely tough to play the game, to play the game, but he’s done a great job and he’s great in the room. Very smart, hard working, so I can’t wait to see him come out and play.’
The Browns gave up Travis Hunter by trading down from No. 2 to select Graham at No. 5 in the 2025 draft, seeing the Michigan alum as an ideal defensive tackle for defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, capable of playing in the backfield and stopping both the run and the throw.
“It’s been an adjustment for him,” Schwartz said. “We’re a very physical team and we put a lot of pressure on our defense to make plays, so there’s been some growth issues. He’s made a lot of progress now. When we put the shoulder pads on, that’s the next step. And when you play, that’s the next step. So it’s going to be a process for him.” ( Kodma168 )
