Kodma168 Browns trade up to select Sanders in the 5th round

Kodma168 Cheddar Sanders was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 144th pick in the draft after being overlooked the first two days.

The Cleveland Browns agreed to a trade-up that sent the 166th and 192nd draft picks to the Seattle Seahawks for tight end Cheddoar Sanders with the 144th pick in the fifth round on Saturday, ESPN reported.  Kodma168

Sanders, a college quarterback who was once projected to be taken in the first round of the draft but fell to the fifth round, posted on X after being selected by the Browns, saying, “Thank God.” He is the second quarterback Cleveland has selected, following Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel, who was selected in the third round (94th overall).

‘I would like to say that I am very grateful for this opportunity. I never pay attention to the negative things or even think about the negative things because the good things happen very quickly and it is a change of mood.’

‘For me, it’s just about playing quarterback. That’s the main thing. You can’t be too high, too low, whatever it is. You have to be able to celebrate. And when we score a touchdown, we celebrate a little bit. Now it’s time to work. It’s time to go.’

Asked if his pre-draft interviews played a role in his advancement to the fifth round, Sanders said, “I think what happened was I had a great interview and a great process with the Browns, and that’s why they selected me.”

‘So anything outside of the organization is no longer a factor for me because this is what I focus on and this is what I think and do everything I can to make this team better. So anything outside of that, opinions don’t really matter.’ ( Kodma168 )
