The Carolina Panthers have placed 21-year-old running back Jonathan Brooks on PUP, meaning the former 2024 second-round draft pick will miss the entire 2025 season, NFL Network reports. ( Kodma168 )
Brooks suffered a torn ACL in a Week 14 game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Dec. 8 and has been sidelined ever since, playing in just three games (one start) of his rookie season before the Panthers placed the 21-year-old running back on PUP, meaning he’ll be out for the entire 2025 season.
The Panthers signed 25-year-old running back Chuba Hubbard to a four-year, $33.2 million contract extension in November. He has a career-best 250 carries for 1,195 yards and 10 touchdowns in 15 starts.
The Panthers also signed former Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle to a one-year, $6.25 million deal this offseason before selecting Georgia running back Trevor Etienne in the fourth round of the 2025 draft.
