kuiper999 Rookie running back Tyron Tracy Jr. got a lot of praise from the Blues head coach after unleashing a killer move on the Seattle Seahawks defense.

New York Giants head coach Brian DeBoll hailed the performance of Tyron Tracy Jr. in Sunday’s 29-20 win over the Seattle Seahawks after the fifth-round rookie running back filled in for the injured Devin Singletary, NFL Network reports. kuiper999

Tracy Jr. has been the Seahawks’ defensive threat, rushing 18 times for 129 yards, compared to 29 carries for more than 100 yards in the first four games of the season. 

“He’s played well, but the 10 guys around him have played well, too,” DeBoll said of the rookie running back. “Good spacing, good press, makes tough decisions on third-, second-, first- and half-down plays to make big plays there. But he’s done a great job for us since he’s been here, continuing to improve, which is what we want all of our players to do.”

Tracy, who played wide receiver his first four years in college, showed off his vision from the backfield and the power to get through tackles after Eric Gray fumbled on the first few snaps, but the rookie running back saw the most playing time the rest of the season and produced some impressive performances.

“I think for the players that are playing and maybe haven’t played as much, their job is to play and compete at a high level,” DeBoll said. “And that’s what we expect. We talked about it last week before the game. If somebody can’t play, they’ve got to have the mindset of being the next guy. So we’ll do what we have to do each week. But yeah, he had a great game.”

Asked if Tracy will get more chances to run the ball even after Singletary returns, DeBoll said, “I think we just take it day by day, week by week, see what we’re doing and what the game plan is for the opponents we’re going to play. But we expect all our players to be ready and perform when the time comes.” ( kuiper999 )
