Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard, 26, admits he’s tired of losing, as the Panthers haven’t made the playoffs since the 2017 season, the last season the franchise had more wins than losses, according to the Charlotte Observer.  kuiper999

Hubbard has been with the Panthers since entering the team as a third-round draft pick in the 2021 class. Over the past four seasons, he has led the Panthers to 19 wins and 49 losses. That’s something the 26-year-old running back wants to see change. 

“The guys that have been here for years, through good times and bad, they think, ‘Yeah, we’re tired of it,’ ” Hubbard said. “The new guys that we bring in from a winning culture, they say, ‘We’re ready, we’re ready to win here. ’ So we all come together, we have the right chemistry, the right culture and everything is focused on winning.”

Hubbard had a career-high 1,195 yards on 250 carries and 10 touchdowns as the Panthers’ leading running back last season before the team signed free agent Rico Dowdle and drafted fourth-round pick Trevor Etienne to help ease the 26-year-old’s burden.

‘If the goal isn’t to make the playoffs and win the Super Bowl, you’re underestimating yourself. That’s always the goal. That’s the goal this year, and I think we’re getting closer to that.’ 

For his part, veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen agreed with Hubbard, saying, ‘1,195 I think guys are finally getting tired of being the same old Carolina Panthers.’

‘I think we want to get back to the way we did here in 2015 (reaching the Super Bowl) and other years where there was a lot of playoff competition, a lot of crowds and a lot of excitement in the city. We don’t have that.’  ( kuiper999 )
