New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel is confident he can turn the Patriots around in the 2025 season after missing the playoffs for three straight years, NFL Network reports. kuiper999

“I think a successful season is one where the players believe in what we’re doing. This is what’s going to help us. This is what’s best for us. These guys care,” Vrabel said.

‘That makes us better as the season goes on. That makes us improve as the season goes on and the teams that improve as the season goes on usually have a chance to play in January. That’s what success is all about, the players believe in what we’re doing.’ 

The Patriots have a lot of issues on their roster. They need to revamp their entire offensive line, add weapons to quarterback Dread May, improve their pass rush defense, beef up their front seven and add a couple more guys at defensive back. 

The Patriots have the No. 4 pick in the 2025 draft and five spots in the top 105. They also have the most salary-cap space at $127.8 million. While splashing out on free agents isn’t always the solution, Vrabel is confident he can improve the team heading into the 2025 season.

“I think there’s a limit to what we can do,” Vrabel said. “Again, it’s free agency. You have to understand that you might overspend, but we have to use this as a way to strengthen our roster. It’s not the be-all, end-all, but it has to help strengthen our roster.”

‘To say there’s a no-nonsense attitude (to signing a free agent), I don’t think so.’ 

Vrabel added that he will lay the foundation to lead the Patriots back to winning ways. “I want them to work with me like we’re in this together. I want to be on the journey and help them have a successful career,”

‘The better they play, the better the team will perform. That’s a fact. Mentally tough? I think they have to be mentally tough to play professional football. I think you have to be patient. I think if you just say you’re going to win every match, that’s not true.’

‘So I think everyone in this league, whether you’re a coach or you’re playing in this league, has to have a certain amount of patience.’  ( kuiper999 )
