Tennessee Titans sophomore quarterback Will Lewis said he was pleased with his performance and the team’s performance, which came after winning all three of their preseason games and building confidence ahead of the 2024 season opener against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 8, NFL Network reported. The Titans wrapped up their preseason with wins in all three games over the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints, with Lewis impressing in his most recent outing, completing 7-of-8 for 118 yards and scoring 10 points on two drives in a 30-27 win over the Saints. 

“It was good,” Lewis said of his performance Sunday. “We did what we needed to do here to get us fired up and ready for Week 1 (against the Chicago Bears). We had a great performance from start to finish. I’m proud of the way they went out there and played, and it was great to see them go out there and play well.” 

‘I’m very happy with what happened. Having a 3-0 record in pre-season, we know it might not mean anything in pre-season, but it means something for us.’

Lewis showed good timing, which is a key to the offense head coach Brian Callahan wants to run, especially on tight throws like a 33-yarder to wide receiver Calvin Ridley and a 22-yarder to wide receiver Tyler Boyd. 

‘Potential doesn’t mean a lot,’ Callahan added. ‘We have to prove ourselves, and we have to prove ourselves every week. I think we came out of training camp on a good note. We still have to improve. We still have to improve in a lot of areas, but I think to finish training camp and pre-season the way we did, it shows we have a chance to compete. ‘
