The Belgian national team midfielder had fitness problems in the beginning and was barely able to play. But after being fully completed in December, he continued to be the starting player until the latest match where Luton narrowly lost to Manchester United 1-2. 

Despite another defeat, Lokonga was one of the team’s players who performed well. Causing to be watched for what the future will be like after the loan contract ends.

The 24-year-old midfielder said: “I think it’s too early to say what the future holds. I haven’t had any contact with Mikel Arteta yet. I’m concentrating on Luton. We’ll talk to Arsenal at the end of the season.”

“But everything will happen gradually. I still see myself as an Arsenal player. I think I can have a future at Arsenal, but it depends on my performance here.”
