Sky Germany reported on Friday that Real Madrid have started talks over a contract extension with Antonio Rudiger and an agreement is expected to be reached soon.

Rudiger has been a key player for Real Madrid since joining from Chelsea in the summer of 2022 and is currently under contract until 2026 amid interest from the Saudi Arabian club, which has prompted the Los Blancos to move ahead with the process of extending the player’s contract.

Although Real Madrid have a policy of not extending the contracts of players over 30 for more than a year, in the case of Rudiger, it may be an exception and the club is in talks with the player’s representatives to extend the contract for another 1-2 years.
