Monaco were previously reported to be looking to extend the 21-year-old defensive midfielder’s contract after the player broke into the first-team last season, and has enjoyed a very impressive campaign.

Monaco have recently announced that they have extended Magassa’s contract until mid-2029, with his previous contract expiring in mid-2027. 

Monaco’s management is pleased with Magassa’s overall performance and has started contract talks as more teams look to the player.

However, the 21-year-old Makassar has decided to sign a new contract, with the player keen to continue playing regularly and become a regular for the club in the future.

For Makassar, he is a defensive midfielder but can also drop back to centre-half. When he first came to the first team, Adi Hutter used him as a defender in a three-man defence. ( player1688 )
