    The couple took a 10 per cent stake in the Magpies, worth £305m, in October 2021, which was welcomed by fans after a tumultuous 14 years at the helm of Mike Ashley.

    It has now been officially confirmed that the pair have left the club, with Newcastle’s website saying: “Newcastle Football Club today announces that it has reached an agreement to change its ownership structure.”

    “PIF and RB Sports & Media will increase their stake in Newcastle United as part of a long-term plan to develop the club and make it a consistent and credible title contender both domestically and in Europe.”

    “As part of the restructuring, PIF and RB Sports & Media will jointly acquire the shares of PCP Capital Partners and Amanda Staveley will leave all her roles with Newcastle United.”

    “From now on, the new shareholding structure will be approximately 85 percent owned by PIA and the remaining 15 percent held by RB Sports & Media. These restructuring changes are expected to be completed in July 2024.” ( sunlit1688 )
