However, Milan have been confident of a new deal in recent weeks and Milan News reports that the latest talks between the two parties are positive.

Following recent negotiations, Milan are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Maignan to extend his contract until 2028.

The extension will make Maignan one of the club’s top earners, increasing his salary to more than €5m a year, a significant increase from the current €3.2m a season.
