Thaisiambet Philadelphia 76ers rookie guard Jared Mecklenburg is set to miss the remainder of the season indefinitely after suffering a meniscus injury in Friday’s 107-121 loss to the Indiana Pacers. Thaisiambet 

The team said in a statement that Meckens’ injury required surgery, which could rule him out of the Rookie of the Year award, where he averaged 15.3 points, 2.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 23 games. 

The 20-year-old has been one of the few silver linings for Philadelphia this season, which has been disastrous, going 7-16 and 12th in the East, two games behind a play-in tournament spot. Thaisiambet
