Mundo Deportivo reported on Friday that Argentine forward Lionel Messi will not be attending Barcelona’s 125th anniversary celebrations due to personal commitments. 

Barcelona are set to celebrate their 125th anniversary at the Liseu Theatre on Friday, November 29, with VIPs, club legends and other dignitaries expected to attend. Messi is said to have also made time to attend after being personally invited.

However, according to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Messi will be unable to attend the important event on Friday, November 29, as he has commitments to attend to that night. While it would be a huge loss for the club’s plans, the Argentine forward could take part in the festivities in another way, perhaps by sending a video clip to attend.  ( wintime999 )
