( moodeng )Former footballer Paolo Di Canio has questioned Simone Inzaghi’s ability to motivate his players after Inter Milan lost 1-0 at home to Roma in Serie A on Sunday. moodeng

    “The Big Snake” was recently knocked out of the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia by their rivals AC Milan after losing 0-3 at home in the middle of the week, resulting in a combined score of 1-4.

    The team recently lost at home to the “Wolves”, making it 3 consecutive defeats and now Napoli have overtaken them to lead the Italian league table. Di Canio questioned Inzaghi’s motivation for the players.

    “I might agree with the physicality, but after 15 games Inter have seven points less than last season. Motivation makes the difference,” Di Canio said.

    “Only coaches know how to motivate and a coach like Inzaghi is very good at other things, like playing style, Simone makes us enjoy his football, but there are management problems.”

    “You can’t blame fatigue when you concede two goals against Parma, Inter have had that happen many times and it’s not just fatigue.”

   moodeng  “We are talking about a team that suffered 11 times in the last 20 minutes after coming back from their opponents. It’s about getting results at home with determination and grit. The only one I saw motivated and going when Inter were 1-0 down was Acerby. He made me feel sorry for him. He was the only one who still believed when everyone else had given up.” ( moodeng )
