Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport reported that Ibrahimovic, as an adviser to AC Milan’s owner Red Bird, is most keen to see Tare take over as the club’s sporting director.

Former Albania striker Tare spent 15 years working with Lazio president Claudio Lotito as the club’s sporting director and is now wanted by Ibrahimovic.

However, three other names remain on the radar of Milan: Atalanta’s Tony D’Amico, Napoli’s Giovanni Manna and former Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur sporting director Fabio Paratici.

moodeng If Milan choose Damico or Manna, they may have to wait until the summer to appoint them, as both are contractually bound to their clubs, while Paratici is unable to join immediately due to ongoing legal disputes, so Tare is a clearer option than the other contenders. ( moodeng )
