The academy graduate has two years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford but United have reportedly been prepared to sell the midfielder, who is valued at £70m, to free up funds.

In the past, the Red Devils have opened negotiations with Menu to find an agreement after long negotiations.

The Daily Mail previously reported that Menu’s representatives were negotiating a £180,000-a-week deal to match his status as an England senior international.

However, The Guardian recently claimed that Menu intends to reject a new contract offer and look to move abroad instead.

For Menu, 20, he has made 60 appearances for United and has won 10 caps for England at senior level. ( moodeng )
