Home manager David Moyes has made three changes from the Merseyside derby, with star man Iliman Ndiaye returning from a knee injury and fit to start, while defenders Nathan Patterson and Timothy Irobunam have been sidelined for some time. 

On the other hand, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has arranged a second team with 5 changes, especially in the front line, with Ethan Vaneri and Raheem Sterling supporting the target striker Leandro Trossard.  ( moodeng )

The away team took the lead 1-0 in the 34th minute. Everton headed the ball in front of the penalty area, but it didn’t go well. Sterling dribbled the ball to the other side of the goal and passed it to the left to Trossard, who found space to shoot with his left foot into the far post. This was the score at the end of the first half. 

A few minutes into the match, the Toffees were awarded a penalty after Myles Lewis-Skelly was reckless

Assassin N’Diaye flicked it to his right but goalkeeper David Raya dived the wrong way to make it 1-1 in the 49th minute.

In the remaining time, even though Arsenal gradually sent out their starting players, it did not make the game much better. The game ended in a 1-1 draw. 

After 31 matchdays, Everton are 14th on 35 points, while Arsenal are on 62, 11 points behind leaders Liverpool but have played a game more and are closing in on handing the title to Anfield sooner rather than later.
