( moodeng )Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo has revealed he spent £5,000 on a trading card featuring Manchester City striker Erling Haaland. moodeng
The Norwegian international has emerged as one of the world’s leading scorers with a remarkable record since his arrival in the Premier League, scoring 84 goals and winning two English top-flight titles, completing a treble in his first year at the Etihad Stadium.
Each year, card companies including Tops release trading cards featuring players from the Premier League and Europe, as well as other cards from Formula One and Star Wars, with Adarabioyo revealing he paid up to £5,000 for a Haaland card.
“It can be expensive,” Adarabioyo told the latest episode of Rio Ferdinand Presents. “One card costs £5,000, it’s a gold card for (Tops) Erling Haaland.”
“I used to collect them since I was a kid and of course they were World Cup and Euro sticker albums. Everyone loves that. It gives me a nostalgic feeling.”
