mungme168 Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson had a stellar performance with three touchdowns as the franchise routed the Philadelphia Eagles 24-10 and halted the Eagles’ nine-game winning streak.

The Seahawks took a 3-0 lead on their first drive with a 46-yard field goal, then extended it to 10-0 when Wilson threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Jimmy Graham midway through the second quarter, while the Eagles pulled one back on a field goal on the next drive to end the first half 10-3.

The second half saw a major turning point when the Eagles’ first attack went to the red zone. Quarterback Carson Wentz was forced to fumble the ball by Sheldon Richardson, changing possession. The Seahawks used the momentum to drive 80 yards from 11 plays, turning it into a touchdown, pulling ahead 17-3. 

Then the scoring continued. The Eagles got their first score early in the fourth quarter with a 27-yard touchdown pass to Nelson Agholor to make it 17-10, but were immediately countered by J.D. McKissic who received the ball 15 yards into the end zone to make it 24-10 . 

The remaining time, the Seahawks’ famous  ‘Legion of Boom’ defensive unit shone, preventing the opponent from playing to 4th down but unable to extend the distance, including one interception, maintaining the score until the fourth quarter, 24-10.

The win moved the Seahawks to 8-4 and retained their Wild Card spot, while the Eagles dropped to 10-2 and lost their title as the best team in the NFC Conference. ( mungme168 )
