mungmee168 Dan Campbell is confident the Detroit Lions offense will continue to move forward under new offensive coordinator John Morton.
Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is confident the team can maintain its efficiency even without Ben Johnson, who is leaving to become head coach of the Chicago Bears this offseason, according to the Detroit News. mungmee168
“This is the Detroit Lions offense that it is. This is Jared Goff, (Eamon-Ra) St. Brown, (Jehmire) Gibbs, (David) Montgomery,” Campbell said. “It’s Frank (Ragnau), it’s (Pine) Sewell, it’s (Taylor) Decker. I can still play (Jamison Williams). That’s what we are.”
The Lions brought back 10 of their 11 starting offensive linemen this season, with only veteran guard Kevin Zeitler leaving in free agency.
“We can say, ‘This is our game plan, this is what we’re doing,'” Campbell said. “(The players) make it happen, that’s our game plan, those guys.”
Campbell expects Goff’s influence to take another step forward in shaping the Lions’ offense as Johnson transitions to the John Morton era. ( mungmee168 )
