Parsons previously revealed he would participate in the offseason voluntarily, and new Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer expects the 25-year-old to do so as well, but with his contract situation still unresolved, questions have been raised about whether Parsons will change his mind. 

The 25-year-old linebacker is entering the fifth year of his $24.007 million rookie contract and is in talks to agree a long-term deal with the Cowboys that could make him the NFL’s highest-paid non-quarterback, surpassing Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Mar Chase, who is earning an average annual salary of $40.25 million after signing an extension with the Panthers this offseason.

Parsons was reportedly hoping to have his new deal completed before free agency, but talks between the two sides have not been finalized so far. However, the 25-year-old is willing to report for voluntary workouts that began Monday. ( mungmee168 )
