At the NFL Combine in February, Green revealed that he was accused of sexual assault in Virginia, which led to his transfer to Marshall, and that he was accused of sexual assault again in high school, but was never charged and maintained he had done nothing wrong.

“We certainly understand the seriousness of the allegations,” DeCosta said. “But after a thorough review, we feel comfortable with Mike. I think the best is yet to come for him, and I’m pleased we’ve got him.”

Green led the FBS in sacks last season with 17, but past allegations led to him being selected 59th overall by the Ravens. When he was selected, he was seen in tears during the livestream of the draft party.
