Hasan Reddick, a 28-year-old linebacker, has taken his game to the next level after recording a career-high 16 sacks in his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Monday.  ( mungmee168 ) 

Reddick, a former first-round draft pick in the 2017 class, spent the first four years of his career with the Arizona Cardinals before moving to the Carolina Panthers in 2021 and signing a three-year deal with the Eagles last offseason. He was a standout and helped Philly reach the Super Bowl, and the 28-year-old linebacker is looking to take his game to the next level in 2023.

“I’m in good shape,” Reddick said. “As crazy as it sounds, I feel like there’s another level to me. I’m very excited and looking to build on another great year. I want to continue to build on what I did and what the team did last year.”

Reddick signed a three-year, $45 million deal with the Eagles before setting career highs with 16 sacks, 26 quarterback pressures and five fumbles, earning the 28-year-old his first Pro Bowl appearance. 

Despite missing out on the Super Bowl, the Eagles’ defense, led by Brandon Graham, Josh Sweet, Javon Hargraves, Reddick and others, recorded 78 sacks, just five short of the Super Bowl-era record of 82. 

This offseason, Hargraves signed with the San Francisco 49ers while defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon left to become the Cardinals’ head coach. It will be difficult for the Phillies to match their 2022 season, but Reddick believes the Eagles can still achieve their goals after selecting defensive tackle Jalen Carter in the first round of the draft and linebacker Nolan Smith.
