The Daily Star reports that Manchester City are considering the future of expensive midfielder Nunes after he failed to prove himself in Pep Guardiola’s team since moving from Wolverhampton last year.

Nunes joined Manchester City from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a reported £53million last summer but has struggled to establish himself in Guardiola’s side, finishing the 2023-24 season having made just 17 Premier League appearances, mostly as a substitute.

Newcastle United, Liverpool, Chelsea, West Ham United and Everton are all reportedly interested in Nunes and a loan deal with an option to buy would likely be in the cards, but it would require a figure of at least £40m.

For Manchester City, Gundogan has just signed back from Barcelona after moving to the Camp Nou for a year, playing 51 games in all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing 14 assists. ( wilson88 )
