The Indiana Pacers confirmed Saturday that Isaiah Jackson will be out for the rest of the season after the 22-year-old center suffered a ruptured left Achilles tendon and is set to undergo surgery Monday, ESPN reported.

Jackson had six points and eight rebounds before leaving the Pacers in the fourth quarter of Friday’s 118-125 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans after trying to block a Brandon Ingram shot and falling badly and having to be helped up.

Before the Pacers confirmed Jackson would miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn left Achilles tendon on Monday. 

It’s the Pacers’ second loss of a center this season after James Wiseman tore his Achilles tendon on Oct. 23, so Indiana will likely have to look elsewhere for a frontcourt player to back up Myles Turner. Player1688
