Patriots trade ‘Guy-Phillips’ for $6 million in save money  hotfuns

Guy, a 33-year-old defensive end, played with the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers, and Baltimore Ravens before joining. With the Patriots over the past seven seasons, he played in 110 games, making 379 tackles and 10.5 sacks.  ( hotfuns )

While Phillips, a 31-year-old safety, played with San Diego/LA Chargers from 2014-2019 before coming to the Patriots for the past four seasons. He played in 67 games, making 284 tackles, 16 pass deflections and 6 interceptions. 

Guy posted a message on social media confirming his release, saying: ‘Thank you New England, you have welcomed me and my family over the past seven years and have always made us feel at home. The community we built people we meet and the communities we are affected by Thank you for always welcoming us with open arms. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.’
