Saka was another disappointing performer, with Pearce believing the Arsenal star was not getting enough help from Walker, who played on the same flank.
“I really feel for Saka,” Pearce told TalkSPORT. “Because, as I’ve said many times, Kyle Walker is a full-back who doesn’t complement this youngster’s play.”
“He (Walker) has to do more for him (Saka), this is a kid with talent because I like Saka a lot, I think he’s a really outstanding player.”
“But if you have something that bothers your full-back, it makes your job much harder to turn the tempo and confront the opposition.”
