pgzen Browns agree to 20-year deal with new stadium sponsor

pgzen Huntington Bank Field will become the primary sponsor of the Cleveland Browns for the next two decades.

The Cleveland Browns have confirmed a 20-year deal with Huntington Nation Bank, a partnership that includes naming rights to Cleveland’s lakeside stadium, which will be renamed Huntington Bank Field, NFL Network reports. pgzen

The Browns are set to host the Dallas Cowboys in their 2024 season opener on Sunday, September 8, at a stadium rebranded with a new sponsor. 

“We are excited to have reached a long-term partnership agreement with Huntington Bank of Ohio,” said Dee and Jimmy Haslam, owners of the Browns and Major League Soccer team Columbus Crew. “Huntington Bank has a long-standing reputation for excellence and continues to grow both regionally and nationally, while maintaining its roots here in Ohio.”

Huntington’s headquarters are in Columbus, Ohio, and the 65,000-seat lakeside arena was formerly known as Cleveland Browns Stadium after its deal with FirstEnergy Corp. expired in 2023. There has been scrutiny over FirstEnergy’s partnership with the team after the utility admitted to paying bribes to Ohio lawmakers. 

The deal comes as Haslam’s team considers moving out of the city and into a $2.4 billion domed stadium in Brook Park, Ohio, which will include retail space and a hotel. The current stadium lease expires after the 2028 season.  ( pgzen )
