The 28-year-old star was traded from the Boston Celtics with a left hip injury that will take seven months to heal before making his Cavs debut in a 127-110 win over the Portland Trail Blazers as a reserve.  ( pgzen )

“It’s been a long journey for me,” Thomas said after the match, where he played 19 minutes but managed to score 17 points. 

“At that time, there was hardly any light at the end of the tunnel (recovery), but with 2018 coming up and returning to the field, it made me believe that this would be a good era.”
