However, Le Parisien reported on Thursday that the situation has become a matter of Serie A side Viola having completed a deal with Reims.

French media reported that the Violet have paid 10 million euros for Richardson, with Reims also set to pay a 10 percent transfer fee in the future. 

It was a swift move by Fiorentina, who beat Tottenham and Everton, as well as Dutch clubs and the Bundesliga.

Le Parisien concluded that Richardson is set to travel to Italy after the 2024 Olympics to undergo a medical and sign an official contract.
