Pisa appoints Gilardino to succeed Pippo doohee

Pisa have just been promoted back to Serie A for the first time in 34 years after finishing Serie B runners-up behind Sassuolo, but the manager who led them to promotion, Filippo Inzaghi, has left the club to take charge of Palermo. 

Despite several candidates being linked to take over from Pippo Inzaghi, Gilardino has quickly emerged as the front-runner.

Before his official unveiling, Gilardino must terminate his contract with Genoa by mutual consent, even though he was sacked in November 2024.

doohee A statement from the Pisa club said that the 42-year-old Gilardino has signed a contract and is set to lead the team into the 2025/26 Serie A season.  ( doohee )
