New York Giants head coach Brian DeBoll said Monday that VanDale Robinson will miss the rest of the season after the rookie third-round draft pick tore his ACL in Sunday’s home loss to the Detroit Lions, ESPN reported. ( pony88 )
Robinson had just one catch for 4 yards before the rookie wide receiver suffered the injury on the first play of the final quarter. He fell to the ground after being tackled and began writhing in pain as he clutched his right knee. The Giants later confirmed the 21-year-old had a torn ACL and ended his 2022 season with 23 catches for 227 yards and one touchdown in six games.
The Giants have struggled at wide receiver this season, losing Sterling Shepard to a torn left ACL, Collin Johnson to a torn Achilles and Robinson to a torn ACL.
