Spanish outlet AS reported that Lunin was disappointed at missing out on the Champions League final last season, despite consistently performing well, but losing his starting spot in the most important game of the season to Courtois, who has just returned.

Although Lunin has signed a new contract with Real Madrid until 2030, there is an agreement with the club that they will listen to offers this summer. If there is a suitable offer, they are willing to sell the Ukrainian goalkeeper.
