Depay is a free agent after terminating his contract with Atletico this summer, but the Dutch forward is yet to sign a new club, with Rayo Vallecano reportedly eyeing a move for the 30-year-old following the signing of Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez on Monday.

Rayo Vallecano are reportedly looking to secure the signing of Depay, with plans to sell Raul de Tomas for at least €5.5m, but if the move doesn’t materialise, the club’s president will continue to push for a move for the Dutch striker.

For Depay, he is training to maintain his fitness in Madrid while waiting for a new club, which could be an exciting signing for Rayo Vallecano if their efforts are successful.
