superteeded Regian Eersel, a 32-year-old fighter from Suriname, is confident he will use his experience to defend his ONE Lightweight Muay Thai (155-170 lbs) title against George Jarvis, a 24-year-old challenger from the United Kingdom, at ONE Fight Night 34 this Saturday, August 2. superteeded

Regian achieved great success by making history by becoming the first-ever ONE Lightweight Muay Thai Champion and reigning as the reigning dual-champion in both Muay Thai and kickboxing.

However, Regian lost his ONE Kickboxing World Championship belt at the scale before defeating former division champion Alexis Nicolas of France by points at ONE Fight Night 30 on April 5.

Despite losing his kickboxing belt, Regian has held onto the Muay Thai throne twice, beating Thai challengers Sinsamut Klinmee and Russian Dmitry Menshikov. Now, he is set to make his third defense of his Muay Thai belt, his return to Muay Thai rules after two years.

Regian admits George has the skills to make it through to the fight, but as a pro with numerous world title fights over the years, he is confident he has the upper hand against the British challenger, who lacks the experience of competing at a high level.

“He’s never faced an opponent like me, and I’ve never faced anyone like him. But you’ll see why I still hold the belt. That’s why I say our experience is different!”

 Regian, who has been unbeaten for over nine years, is preparing to focus on George’s weaknesses, as he has never fought in a ONE World Championship before, which could be a problem for the challenger if they have to fight in a long game.

“His mentality may not be ready for a five-round world title fight, as he has only fought three rounds in ONE, so I don’t think he can handle the situation.”
