Further reports from the Houston Chronicle indicate that Okogie was released by the Charlotte Hornets with the intention of opening up a free agent quota, with the first half of the 2024-25 season wearing a Phoenix Suns jersey. 

The 27-year-old appeared in 40 games last season (15.6 minutes per game), averaging 7.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals. He shot 44.8% from the field (34.8% from long range) and 74.1% from free throw. 

Of course, former Suns member Kevin Durant, who was waiting in the wings, is happy with the deal because they have been close since they were in the desert.  

To land the 6- foot – 4 swingman , Houston will have to clear non-guaranteed Ginathan Williams first to avoid the luxury tax penalty, leaving the team with about $ 3.6 million in salary cap room after hiring Okogie. Superheng1688
