Former Real Madrid player and coach Bernd Schuster has said that Kylian Mbappe’s slow start to life at the Bernabeu is simply a matter of time for the 25-year-old to settle into his new team, as reported by Diario AS on Friday. ( vox888 )

Mbappe joined Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer this summer and although the France international has scored five goals in La Liga, three of them have come from penalties as he takes time to adapt to his new team-mates. 

‘Sometimes people like him come in with a lot of quality. Usually it’s easy for them, but sometimes it’s a little bit difficult. I think it’s about the number of games they’ve played.’

‘He knows what he has to do. It’s just a matter of time. The whole team has to change a little bit, not just him.’

Schuster also spoke about Real Madrid’s problems after the departure of Toni Kroos: ‘There is nobody there now (in midfield) and we have to find a formula that makes everything work the same way. There will never be anyone like him again because he created his era and it cannot be changed in two months. ‘
