Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike McDonald confirmed DK Metcalf will miss Sunday’s game against the LA Rams as the 26-year-old wide receiver continues to recover from a Grade 1 MCL injury, ESPN reports.

Metcalf suffered a torn MCL in his right knee in a 34-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7. After catching four passes for 99 yards and a touchdown, he missed last week’s loss to the Buffalo Bills and the 26-year-old wide receiver is not available for Sunday’s game against the Rams. 

‘He just needs a little bit more time,’ MacDonald said. ‘There’s nothing he could have done differently. We just need a little bit more time for him. That’s what’s best for him and the team.’ 

Metcalf had previously missed just one game in his five-season career before the 26-year-old wide receiver suffered a right knee injury against the Falcons on Oct. 20, causing him to miss back-to-back games for the first time after amassing the third-most receiving yards in the NFL through the first seven weeks.

‘But we’ve said that every week since the beginning,’ MacDonald said. ‘I think that’s where we are right now, so I think it’s fair to say that we’re taking it one week at a time. I think that’s a fair assessment.’ ( Messi1688  )
