TeamTalk reports that head coach Enzo Maresca was impressed by the 27-year-old winger after their encounters in both the FA Cup fourth round and the recent Premier League game, which saw Mitoma’s stunning strike come from a docile touch on the ground, similar to the legendary 8-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi. 

Mitoma is a right-footed left winger who could replace Mykhailo Mudryk, who is suspended pending a urine sample for a banned substance. 

Jadon Sancho is on loan from Man Utd until the end of the season, while Raheem Sterling, whose loan at Arsenal is set to expire, is not in the plans to stay at Stamford Bridge. 

Mitoma’s contract ends in June 2027 and he is valued at £37.3m (€45m). He has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 28 games in all competitions this season. ( bully168 )
