The Golden State Warriors are trading 31-year-old veteran guard Buddy Hield from the Philadelphia 76ers with a second-round draft pick in 2031 to replace Klay Thompson, who becomes a free agent this offseason, The Athletic reports. ( vox888 )

Hield signed a four-year, $21 million deal that will see the 31-year-old guard guaranteed the first two years, $18 million in the third and another $3 million in the fourth year, with a non-guaranteed player option in the fourth year before the 76ers traded him for a second-round draft pick in 2031 from the Warriors. 

The 31-year-old guard is another one of the NBA’s most prolific shooters, having made more than 200 three-point shots over the past six seasons. He shot 40 percent from three on 7.6 attempts per game throughout his career with the New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers and 76ers.

Hield averaged 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists last season and will replace Klay Thompson, who signed with the Dallas Mavericks as a free agent.
