Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has spoken out about his new teammate George Pickens, insisting the two are the No. 1 wide receivers after the 24-year-old was traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers, NFL Network reports.( sqgame555 )
The Cowboys agreed to trade Pickens from the Steelers to partner Lamb after Brandin Cook left the team to sign with the New Orleans Saints, although there were questions about whether the pair could play together.
“We’re both number one. It’s not A, B or anything like that. It’s number one. You look there, you see another number one. So do what you have to do with it,” Lamb said.
Lamb shared the target with another wide receiver in his sophomore season in 2021 with Amari Cooper (68 catches, 865 yards, 8 touchdowns). Since then, no other Cowboys wide receiver has 660+ yards receiving or come close to Lamb with 52 catches or more.
How well the pairing works out will likely depend on how consistent Pickens can be after an up-and-down season in Pittsburgh.
