Offensive tackle Titus Howard, 29, believes the Houston Texans’ offensive line will play more aggressively in the 2025 season, according to the Houston Chronicle. sudpung168 

“We’re going to be more dangerous on the offensive end,” Howard said. “We’re going to have to play harder. We’re going to have to finish more. We’re going to have to have guys who are stronger when they’re on the edge.”

‘We have to be a stronger group in the offensive line.’

C.J. Stroud struggled in his sophomore season, leading to the departure of offensive coordinator Bobby Slovic, offensive line coach Chris Strausser, the release of former first-round draft pick Kenyon Green and the trade of veteran left tackle Laremy Tunsil.

“It’s crazy,” Howard said of the Tunsil trade. “But it’s a game, it’s a business. I’m just happy to be one of the guys that got through it. So I just did my job and stuck with it.”

The Texans solved their problems by trading 26-year-old right guard Ed Ingram from the Minnesota Vikings and signing veteran tackles Cam Robinson and Trent Brown, guard Laken Tomlinson and center Jake Andrews, and selecting second-round pick Irontae Ursery. 

The three people who are reportedly likely to start now are Robinson at left tackle, Tomlinson at left guard, and Howard at right guard, leaving only center and right tackle still in contention. 

Howard also said of new offensive line coach Cole Popovich, “As an O-line coach, you want players who set a good example for the team. He’s a coach with a background and an offensive line that plays aggressively, can get through defenses, and that’s the group we want to be.” ( sudpung168 )
