sudpung168 Veteran fullback Kyle Juszczyk is happy to be back with the San Francisco 49ers for another two years.

Kyle Juszczyk, 33, has confirmed he wants to remain with the San Francisco 49ers after returning to sign a two-year, $8 million contract, NFL Network reports.  sudpung168

“I was a free agent for a short period of time, but to me, I mean it feels like a lifetime,” Juszczyk said, before acknowledging that the 49ers were indeed financially constrained after both sides discussed cutting the $4.1 million base salary in the original deal.

‘I talked to them all off-season that maybe there was a possibility that I would have to take a pay cut or we would have to change something in my contract. I hadn’t heard much, everything looked good, but two or three days [before my release] they finally said, ‘Yes, this is real, the financial constraints that we’re facing are real,’ and they made the decision for me to decide if I wanted to be released or if we wanted to continue negotiating the pay cut. ‘

Juszczyk decided to test the free-agent market and eventually returned to San Francisco on a two-year, $8 million deal after realizing where he wanted to take his career. 

“I think like everyone else, it’s good to see what your market is like,” Juszczyk said. “So they gave me the opportunity to do that. My agent and I went to work and we had a few teams that were interested and we explored those possibilities because I felt it was fair for me and my family.”

‘You have to explore those possibilities, even if deep down you don’t want to. We looked at them, and I think, to put it simply, at the end of the day, it’s too much to leave home. I want to be a nurse, and we can come up with a number that I’m comfortable with, and then we can come to an agreement.’

‘I’m very happy and I try not to look back. I’m happy to be there and I know I’ll be here for another two years.’  ( sudpung168 )
