sudpung168 Jason Witten, the Dallas Cowboys’ regular-time tight end, has announced his retirement from the 2018 season due to burnout and will take a job as a commentator for ESPN.
The official press conference was held Thursday in the AT&T Stadium arena, attended by former teammates, franchise owner Jerry Jones, head coach Jason Garrett and more than 100 staff members. sudpung168
“I never wanted this day to come, but it had to come one day for all of us. The thought kept nagging me to get off the field, and finally I decided, okay! I’ll quit.”
The player, who has been on the prowl for more than 15 seasons, wanted to reduce the stress of the weekly training schedule and the ongoing injury problems he has faced.
It just so happens that ESPN Monday Night Football is looking for a co-commentator for Monday night’s game after Jon Gruden left to take over as head coach of the Oakland Raiders.
